15th Vancouver International Storytelling Festival

The 15th Vancouver International Storytelling Festival takes place on February 2 – 4, 2007 at the VanDusen Botanical Garden (37th and Oak St.)

The Vancouver Storytelling Festival celebrates its 15th year with twenty-five performances over the course of three days, including an opening night storytelling concert, a cabaret, workshops, a French concert, and lots of kids’ programming featuring a very diverse range of tellers from Vancouver, across Canada and as far away as Egypt. Hear stories and music from a variety of traditions, be enthralled by the epic quest of an Inuit hero, or transported across the world through folktales from Nigeria, the Congo, South Africa and Siberia. From Arabian Nights to railroading tales of rural Saskatchewan, the theme is “Getting Your Bearings: A Sense of Place.”
