Ten Things Every Children’s Writer Should Know

Join local children’s author Fiona Bayrock for a jam-packed hour of information about creating and selling children’s writing. There’s no magic door to getting published, but Fiona will share tips, hints and ideas on how to get there sooner. Bring your questions! Fiona is the author of 14 books for children and over 60 articles, stories and poems for children’s magazines. Her latest book is “Bubble Homes and Fish Farts”.
Registration is not required for this free program, but please come early, as seating is limited to the first 50 people to arrive. Please contact the library at (604) 792-1941 for more information on this or other special events.
Kathy Stinson and Peter Carver invite writers to apply for the five-day writing retreat and workshop at their newly refurbished farmhouse property on the spectacular south shore of Nova Scotia. This year, the workshop will be held September 13th to 19th.
