Win a FREE Author Visit for your School

CWILL BC (Children’s Writers and Illustrators of BC) is making an amazing offer to BC schools this spring. To encourage students from K to 12 to attend our Spring Book Hatching extravaganza – which showcases the newest books of more than 30 authors and illustrators – we’re presenting a draw for a free author visit.

Every school with a student attending the event is eligible to participate in a draw for a free author or illustrator presentation (with an approximate value of $325) at their school. Also, the school with the most students at the event will also win a free author or illustrator presentation.

Here’s all you need to do:
Encourage students to attend Spring Book Hatching (free admission!) on May 2 (click HERE for more details). Better yet, encourage parents at your school to arrange carpools to the event.

The two winning schools will have a choice of choosing from the following authors:

Karen Autio: author of middle grade historical fiction

Fiona Bayrock: author of science and nature books for grades K-5

About Lee Edward Fodi

I'm a children's author, illustrator, and educator—or, as I like to think of myself, a daydreaming expert. When I'm not daydreaming myself, I teach kids how to do it. Yes, they might seem pretty good at it already, but in my experience, most of them haven't learned yet how to put it to good use. I'm the creator of the Kendra Kandlestar series and have illustrated books for other authors.

We’re putting a post on the Lobster blog (www.lobsterpress.com/blog) about the event and the school contest as well… if there’s anything we can do to help, please let us know! — Stephanie, Lobster Press
