Vancouver literary and theatre events and programs for youth

Summer literary based programs:

Christianne’s Lyceum of Art and Literature is offering summer literary based programs for children and teens. In particular they are offering a camp in which they introduce 3 to 5 year olds to 5 Author-Illustrators, and another in which they discuss contemporary fairy tales.
For more information on this program, and others, please visit the summer programs page on the Lyceum website.

Theatre events and programs:

The Cultch’s The IGNITE! Youth Festival:

From 16th to 27th of August, 2010, The Cultch’s Youth Program will welcome 40 high-school aged artists from across the Lower Mainland into their theatres to work in direct collaboration with the artistic-directors of four of Vancouver’s leading performing arts companies: Marcus Youssef (Neworld Theatre), Kendra Fanconi (The Only Animal), Tara Cheyenne Friedenberg (Tara Cheyenne Performance) and James Long (Theatre Replacement). The mentors will share their passions and their skills with the youth.
