Going global

Books by CWILL BC members are published in countless languages around the world. Here are a few recent editions:

  • Rights for Jocelyn Shipley’s YA novels Getting a Life and Seraphina’s Circle have been sold to Stabenfeldt Book Clubs for Norway, Sweden and Finland. Two of Jocelyn’s YA stories were also shortlisted for the 2010 Surrey International Writing Contest Writing for Young People Award. Her adult story “Arrangements” is runner-up for the 2010 John Kenneth Galbraith Literary Award and posted on the website.
  • Breathless, a YA book by Pam Withers (Orca) has just been published in Spanish (and earlier in Slovenian).
  • Tanya Lloyd Kyi’s Burn (Annick) has just appeared in Korean, and Carlsen Denmark has acquired Danish rights to My Time as Caz Hazard (Orca). Tanya’s books have previously been translated into Swedish, German, and Spanish.
