Whitehorse writer Claire Eamer is one of the featured authors in the 2011 Yukon Writers’ Festival and Young Authors’ Conference, April 27-30. Writers deliver readings in Whitehorse and other Yukon communities, take part in book signings, and spend two days working with young authors at a Whitehorse high school. Other participating writers are Brian Brett, Dorris Heffron, Alanna Mitchell, and Richard Van Camp.

Claire has recently sold a short story to the speculative fiction anthology Tesseracts Fifteen: A Case of Quite Curious Tales from EDGE Science Fiction and Fantasy Publishing. This is the first Tesseracts anthology to be directed at the YA market. Editors are Julie E. Czerneda, and Susan MacGregor, and publishing date is September 2011.
