On the Big Screen

Life, Above All opens in Vancouver later this week. The film’s screenplay was written by local author Dennis Foon, based on the book Chanda’s Secrets by Allan Stratton. It’s the story of a young girl (played by first-time-actress Khomotso Manyaka) in the small city of Bonang in Africa, who is forced to confront the undercurrents of shame and stigma associated with HIV/AIDS.

The Province featured an interview with Dennis Foon last week.
