Playground Reading

The newest issue of the provincial newsletter BC Healthy Communities features an article by Vi Hughes and Frances Warner. The writers suggest that playgrounds — properly designed — can help promote early literacy.

Vi and Frances were previously featured in a Vancouver Sun article about their initiative Literacy in the Environment (LITE), which aims to place foundational reading opportunities in public spaces.
