What books are on your end table right now?
The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. Valente and The Midnight Zoo by Sonya Hartnett.

Where is the best place to curl up with a good book?
Now, in bed or on the couch with tea. When I was younger, in my tree-fort.

Who’s your favourite literary hero?
There are a few: Lucy from Narnia, Sara Crewe from A Little Princess, Mrs. Frisby from Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh, Wilbur from Charlotte’s Web.

If you could have dinner with three writers or illustrators, whom would you choose?
I’d love to meet C.S. Lewis, L. Frank Baum and Hans Christian Andersen. Even if they were ghosts.

What series did you read growing up?
Oz, Narnia, Nancy Drew, Little House on the Prairie and, when I was even younger, Amelia Bedelia and Frog and Toad.
