TD Canadian Children’s Book Week – Call for Applications

To celebrate TD Canadian Children’s Book Week, the Canadian Children’s Book Centre (CCBC) sends authors, illustrators, and storytellers on a cross-Canada tour to give readings, workshops and presentations to children in schools, libraries, community centres and bookstores. And you could be one of them!

The Canadian Children’s Book Centre has issued their call for applications for authors and illustrators interested in touring outside their home towns for the 2013 TD Canadian Children’s Book Week next May.

All information, including description of duties, qualifications, compensation, and application deadline is available on the Book Week website at: www.bookweek.ca/information-artists.

Schools, libraries, bookstores, and community centres can apply to host a reading. Find out how by visiting this page: www.bookweek.ca/application.

Visit the Book Week website to find out more: read the reports by authors and illustrators who have participated in past tours, check out who’s on tour this year, and find out where the 116 free public readings will be taking place.
