How is writing an app different than writing a picturebook?

Kate Wilson of the hugely successful publisher of children’s books and apps, Nosy Crow (Cinderella, Three Little Pigs, Bizzy Bear), has written a fascinating post on writing an app vs writing a picturebook. She ends by issuing a challenge to authors to send her some app manuscripts.
