Teachers – drag & drop app creation in the classroom

Several teachers have asked me if there is any good software for their students to use to make touchscreen apps in the classroom. A great choice would be Moglue. Read this useful review article and watch the video on Moglue’s drag and drop interface. The software is free to download and great for sharing student apps between devices. Moglue makes their money by charging professional book creators $200/book to publish to an App Store.

The people at Moglue are young, funny, and energetic. They are also very generous with tips about exciting info about what other people in the children’s digital space are doing. I religiously follow their tweets – they’re my go-to place for new and useful information about software, studies, and events, which is remarkable when most people only tweet and post to promote themselves. Moglue has learned early that an exciting and enabled community helps all of us.
