In the Spotlight

April is National Poetry Month and it’s going to be a busy one for children’s poet Tiffany Stone.

Thanks to an Artstarts grant, she will be an Artist in the Classroom at Highlands Elementary School in North Vancouver for the month, sharing her poetry with the entire school and helping students in grades 6 and 7 create their own environmentally-themed poems for Earth Day. She will also be doing a book signing at McNally Robinson in Saskatoon on April 14, followed by a tour of four branches of the Saskatoon Public Library on April 15 and 16.

Tiffany’s Rainbow Shoes is one of the finalists for the Christie Harris Illustrated Children’s Literature Prize at the 2013 BC Book Prizes.
