Margriet Ruurs has two new books out this fall!

families around the world

Families Around The World (Kids Can Press) is a celebration of an ordinary day in the life of families in different cultures and countries. Based on real children, this nonfiction picturebook shares common customs in different make-ups of families. Meet Gilad in a kibbutz in Israel, children in a village in Poland, an extended parent family in Saudi Arabia and many more.

A Brush Full of Colour, the World of Ted Harrison (Pajama Press) is illustrated by Jessica Rae Gordon. This beautifully designed book is a biography of Canadian artist Ted Harrison. His child-friendly art is used for the cheerful, bright illustrations while the text creates a deeper understanding of the interesting life of this Canadian immigrant and iconic painter.
