A book launch for children’s books in French

COVER/Le CamionThis coming Saturday, March 18, 2017, in the morning, Nancy Hundal and Danielle S. Marcotte are launching their new French books, so come down for a piece of cake onyour own or, better still, bring the French program children in your life!

Nancy Mundal’s Le Camion 21 is that rare object: a French kid’s book that takes place in Vancouver. There are few in existence! This brightly illustrated story would also make a wonderful gift to any out-of-town visitors and young friend on your list.

yukon_marcotte.jpgDaniel S. Marcotte’s Noé et Grand-Ours Une Aventure au Yukon, on the other hand, is great for airplane enthusiasts and dog lovers of the same age group, 4–8 years old. It gives the reader a sense of the Great Canadian North and its community spirit. For the teachers out there, a free French “cahier pédagogique” for that book is available for download on the author’s website.

There will be cake, fruit, refreshments, a shortreading in French by Lucie Perrin for the kids at this free launching event. Everyone is welcome and both books will be up for sale for those interested.

Here’s all the details:

10:30 am, Saturday, March 18, 2017
The Vancouver French Cultural Centre
1551 west 7th Avenue, Vancouver

Hope to see you there!

About Lee Edward Fodi

I'm a children's author, illustrator, and educator—or, as I like to think of myself, a daydreaming expert. When I'm not daydreaming myself, I teach kids how to do it. Yes, they might seem pretty good at it already, but in my experience, most of them haven't learned yet how to put it to good use. I'm the creator of the Kendra Kandlestar series and have illustrated books for other authors.
